Artist Statement: "The Journey of the Circle’s Memory"

As an artist, my practice is a continuous effort to capture and express the deeply personal essence of my "golden era." "The Journey of the Circle’s Memory" serves as a direct visual manifestation of my inner world, structured as a sacred repository for my most defining periods of life. This golden box functions as a literal and symbolic boundary for the mind, a protective container where a lifetime of experiences is gathered, preserved, and reflected upon to understand who I am today.

Within this enclosed inner world, the vast array of circles represents the diverse spectrum of my personal memories traveling together. Some are large and dominant, representing major milestones, while others are small and delicate, like fleeting thoughts. These various circles do not exist in isolation; they collide, overlap, and dance within the space. They represent a dynamic journey of recollection where all my different emotions, my deepest experiences of love, happiness, sadness, and fear, converge. Rather than pulling me apart, these conflicting emotional states harmonize inside the box, demonstrating how even the bittersweet and frightening moments are essential to the beauty of a lived life.

Ultimately, the crowded geometry inside the frame is driven by a collective purpose: a search to locate and honor that radiant, golden time of my life. The shimmering gold leaf background sanctifies this emotional landscape, transforming the chaotic, traveling process of remembering into a unified, lovely, and happy reflection. Through this composition, I invite viewers to peer into this box of the subconscious and contemplate the harmonious loops of their own golden memories.
